Clear rules
An “edited with AI” label, your consent and data protection.
We use the business editions of Gemini (Google) and OpenAI: the latest image-editing models, in the versions built for companies. On top of that we use Topaz software to improve image quality: it removes noise, sharpens and enlarges. Every photo is finished by hand in Adobe Photoshop. That lets us do things with a photo that took hours in traditional retouching, or weren’t possible at all.
Most importantly: the starting point is always a real photo from our session, with your real face, in real light, shot on a medium-format camera. We don’t make “photos from selfies”. For us AI is a finishing tool, like a good brush, not a replacement for the photographer.
What we can do
- Better light. Warm golden-hour light on a photo taken on a cloudy day, a brighter face in a dark church, soft rim light instead of flat light.
- Outfit and styling changes. A blazer instead of a jumper for your CV photo, a different dress colour, matching the whole family’s outfits to one palette.
- Background and scenery changes. A studio backdrop in another colour, an office instead of a wall, an autumn park instead of a summer one, a Christmas set with a tree and fairy lights.
- Removing distractions. Passers-by, cars, bins, cables, fire extinguishers in church, writing on walls.
- Weather and sky. Blue sky with clouds instead of grey, a light mist or snowflakes for a winter session.
- Variants from one session. A dozen versions of a branding portrait: different backgrounds, outfits and crops for LinkedIn, your website and the press.
- Magical children’s portraits. A fairy-tale or Christmas set around a real portrait of your child. The face stays untouched.
- Enlargement for big prints. Topaz Gigapixel enlarges a photo several times over, so it works as a 70×100 cm print, even a phone photo.
- Restoring old photos. Removing scratches, stains and creases, recovering sharpness and colourising family photos from years ago.

AI vs traditional Photoshop retouching
Classic Photoshop retouching is manual work with layers and masks. It gives full control over every pixel, but bigger changes such as a new outfit, background or light take hours and often need extra photos. AI models can make those changes in minutes because they “understand” the scene: how light falls on fabric and how it casts shadows. Here’s how they compare:
| AI editing | Manual Photoshop retouching | |
|---|---|---|
| Time | minutes | one to several hours per photo |
| Cost | from 45 PLN per photo | usually 50–300 PLN per photo, composites quoted individually |
| Changing an outfit | realistic folds, light and shadow | painstaking compositing, often impossible without a separate photo |
| Changing the light | consistent across the whole scene | masks and local dodging, hard for big changes |
| Changing the background | a new scene matched in perspective and light | cutting out hair and edges, matched by hand |
| Multiple variants | a dozen versions from one photo | every variant is separate work |
| Control of detail | AI sometimes alters small details, so we check every result | full control over every pixel |
| Faithfulness of the face | we protect the face and compare it with the original | features only change if the retoucher wants them to |
The best of both worlds. We don’t choose between AI and Photoshop. AI does the big, time-consuming change: new light, outfit or background. Topaz takes care of file quality: sharpness, no noise and print resolution. Finally we finish every photo by hand in Photoshop, checking the face, hands and edges and fixing whatever the AI didn’t get quite right. You get a result that used to be very expensive for the price of ordinary retouching.
Topaz: quality without sending photos to the cloud
Topaz software runs on our own computer, so your photos never leave it. We use it wherever pure image quality matters:
- Denoising: photos from a dark church or prom hall without grain and without losing detail.
- Sharpening: rescuing slightly blurred shots, e.g. of a child who just turned around.
- Enlarging: from a 102 MP file we make large wall prints, and even a phone photo can be printed as a canvas.
- Restoration: the first stage of reviving old, damaged prints.
Our AI rules
- You always get the original. The AI version is an extra on top of the session photo, not a replacement.
- We don’t change faces or bodies. No slimming, no reshaping features, no artificial “beautifying”. AI changes the surroundings, the light and the clothes, not you.
- Children: AI changes only the set; the child’s face stays untouched.
- Boudoir sessions are edited locally only, never sent to cloud AI models.
- Consent first. We only do generative edits (outfit, background, scene) with your consent, given in the order.
- Labelling. Photos with generative changes are labelled “edited with AI”, in line with the EU AI Act. Ordinary colour, light or sharpness corrections need no label.
- Data protection. We send to cloud models only the photos you order for editing, through the business editions of Gemini and OpenAI. In the business editions customer data isn’t used to train models. Files stay in the AI tools only while we work on your order, and we process data in line with GDPR.
- Not for documents. We don’t prepare AI-altered photos for ID cards or passports.
How it works
- After the session you pick photos from the gallery and describe the effect, e.g. “warmer light”, “navy blazer”, “office background”.
- We confirm what’s possible and give you a price. For generative edits we ask for your consent.
- We prepare the AI version, finish it by hand in Photoshop and check it against the original.
- You get the result in your online gallery. One round of changes is included.
- Old photos for restoration can be brought to the session or sent as a scan or phone photo.
FAQ
Isn’t this just an “AI photo”?
No. “AI session” apps generate an image from a few selfies and often change facial features. We start from a real photo from a professional session, and AI changes only what you ask for. Your face stays yours.
Can I order AI effects for photos from another shoot?
Restoration and enlargement are available for any photo. AI effects we do mainly on photos from our own sessions, because we know the original files and lighting. Other photos are quoted individually.
What if I don’t like the result?
One round of changes is included. If a change can’t be made to look natural, we tell you honestly and don’t charge.
Will my photos be used to train AI?
No. We use the business editions of Gemini and OpenAI, where customer data isn’t used to train models, and files stay there only while we work on your order. Boudoir sessions are edited locally only.
